Interwoven - Silk Aerials

Come fly with us!

Special Operations Spouses are invited to summon their courage and step out of their comfort zone during the Interwoven Silk Aerials program. This activity requires courage and bravery as the participants are introduced to the basics of flying on silks! You will learn how to use leverage, gravity and momentum to find balance and stability in the fabric. These skills can transfer over to many other apparatus if you decide to make this activity a future recreational tool for self-care. This activity will also teach proper shoulder placement while hanging, basic climbing, foot locks, straddle inversions and hip locks.

This time spent with TheStation Foundation emphasizes the value of healthy life balance. Placing our well-being on the calendar requires us to say “no” to other important aspects of our lives, and saying “no” is not easy to do. However, this placeholder on our calendars is the first step in setting limits. Identifying our needs as a priority helps us breathe into the boundaries established and thrive in life's adversities.

Participants are invited to embrace the opportunity to challenge themselves both physically and mentally at Dragonfly Aerials. The aerial component gives a total body cardio workout that leverages gravity and body weight.
