Interwoven: Rhythm and Color at Rick’s Place

Special Operation Forces Parent and Child (ages 4+) are invited to join The Station Foundation for a morning of meaningful connection while exploring music and play. Participants will create music with different instruments, participate in a “jam session”, and create a piece of art in sync with the rhythm of your partner.

Not only will participants learn a new craft, but families will have the opportunity to run and play in the treehouse and greenspace that Rick’s Place has to offer.

During our picnic lunch, parents will be introduced to strength spotting - identifying the unique character strengths within themselves and family members. Strength spotting enables a shift in family focus and attention from negative bias to positive sentiment override. Children and teenagers who have parents who help them identify and use their character strengths have greater confidence, persistence, life satisfaction, healthier friendships, and manage stressful situations with greater resilience.

- Lunch will be provided.

- This program is designed to provide parents with one on one time with their daughter or son. Limit one child per registration.

Please invite a friend within the Special Operations Community who is new to The Station.

This is a first come first serve event with a maximum capacity of 12 families. We kindly request a cancellation notice no less than 72 hours prior to the event. Thank you for your consideration.
