Interwoven: Hidden Treasures and Love Mapping on Bird Shoals Island

The Station Foundation invites you to experience the well kept secrets of Bird Shoals Island while reconnecting and hunting for the good in your relationship with your partner.

Research suggests that people often feel positive emotions when in nature, and taking time to acknowledge these feelings can strengthen them. Research by relationship expert Dr. John Gottman also shows that when you acknowledge and openly discuss positive aspects of your partner and your marriage, your bond is strengthened. We will practice this as we enjoy the beauty of nature at Bird Shoals Island.

Workshop Prerequisite - Hunting for the Good

In a journal or on a piece of paper, write down at least one positive comment about your spouse from Monday, May 27 - June 1. Record these positive sentiments and things that you appreciate about their character, things they did around the house or to support you etc. Do not share your lists with one another. You will bring this list to Bird Shoals Island and share it with one another there.

New to Interwoven events with The Station? Welcome! Please note that our OutStation Facilitator or Mentors will be in contact with you to share our mission and confirm your Special Operations Forces affiliation.
