This webinar is the fourth in a series presented to the PGS community by Shannon Houde which outlines a step-by-step process for converting your passion into purpose and pay. The first two webinars - "Dream Job Targeting: Get Focused to Get Results" (handout) and "Tricks to Get You to the Top of the Applicant Pile" (handout) focused on helping you understand the role you want, fill in any skills gaps you might have, and craft your personal brand story in a compelling way.

In this third installment, you have landed the interview! Exciting and rewarding as this is…it is just the start to proving your worth. And this time, in real time, you will have to articulate your key messages to a live audience. How do you show them in person that you’re the one they need for the job?

Competency based interviews are the most common in the market (“tell me about a time that you…”) but getting prepared for them requires a deep dive into your personal stories and proof points and then aligning these to the job description rewrite that was workshopped in the "Tricks To Get To the Top of the Pile" webinar.

This session will demonstrate how to prove your worth on the spot and show off your interpersonal skills using our unique My Career Journey tool to answer the challenging, yet simple, question we hear in every first interview, “walk me through your resume.”

The session will feature 5+ pre-selected students “in the hot seat” who will answer interview questions in real time and then be critiqued by a real recruiter. They and the audience will learn together as the interactions unfold.

For the most value, it is recommended that you have attended or viewed recordings of Shannon's prior workshops in the series. You are welcome to attend both mock interview sessions to observe more interview scenarios.
