Interview Confidence Lab: Live
Because Confidence is Built, Not Born
Knowing what to say in an interview and actually saying it well are two very different things. Interview Confidence Lab: Live is a hands-on, after-hours workshop designed for mid-career HR and Talent Acquisition professionals who want to sharpen their own interview skills in a low-stakes, peer-supported environment. Building on the virtual Interview Confidence Lab, this session ditches the slides and gets participants out of their seats and into practice. Through structured exercises, real-time feedback, and peer coaching, participants will work through tough questions, develop confident responses under pressure, and build language they can use immediately. Whether you're actively job searching or just keeping your skills sharp, this lab meets you where you are.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Apply practical language strategies to navigate difficult, unexpected, or inappropriate interview questions with clarity and confidence.
- Demonstrate techniques for buying time, redirecting, and recovering when caught off guard in an interview.
- Recognize the difference between a weak interview response and a strong one, and self-correct in the moment.
- Build a personal practice habit using peer networks and structured tools to sustain interview readiness beyond the workshop.
JobNet 2.0 is a new group developed by the Bay Area Human Resources Connections (baHRC), explicitly designed for Human Resources and Talent Acquisition professionals navigating career transitions. This isn’t just another job board, panel, or passive event. It’s a peer-led initiative, facilitated by individuals who have experience on both sides of the hiring table. While baHRC will continue to focus on broader, strategic topics relevant to our profession, JobNet 2.0 is about building a supportive community for those in transition—offering connection, guidance, and a sense of belonging when it’s needed most.
We're looking forward to your participation in this conversation. Seize this opportunity to connect, learn, and advance together. This is a relational, not transactional, peer-led group, and we deeply value the confidentiality and respect we hold for one another. We hope to see you there!
