Zhou is an advocate for people’s reproductive rights, anti-racism, immigration reform, and mental health. Currently, Zhou serves on the board of the Portland HR Management Association. She is also the founder of RAPID, a non-profit supporting people with disabilities and Veterans with disabilities to accept, embrace and thrive in their lives. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in business management, and is a certified drug and alcohol counselor. She delivers presentations and training on disability topics relevant to today’s business environment. The purpose of each presentation is to educate companies and organizations about disability in a positive and productive way. Legally blind herself, and the parent of a child with autism, she brings her personal and professional experiences to help move companies forward. Emily and her husband, Jamison, are raising three biracial children within an extended family that is inclusive of many diverse identities. She is a longtime educator and innovator. Through her role at Construct The Present, she supports nationwide nonprofits, companies, and government agencies in activating contemporary responses to leadership development and employee needs through training, coaching, and team building. She has worked with organizations like Smithsonian, the City of Portland, Metro Regional Government, and Multnomah County Library. As a former classroom teacher, she is an engaging and empathetic trainer at meetings, board training, and mediations. Prior to starting her own consulting agency, she was the Program Director at a statewide literacy nonprofit, where she specialized in creating an inclusive culture through supervision training, data analysis, and diversity, equity, and inclusion implementation. Alexis has been born &amp; raised primarily in Oregon, earning her Master’s Degree from Lewis &amp; Clark College and most recently pursuing her MBA from Cornell University. Davis, MA (she/her/hers) Personal Development and DEIB Practitioner Coach </h3><p><em>Afrita M.S. Davis, MA (she/her/hers)</em> is a Personal Development and DEIB Practitioner Coach serving DEIB practitioners, supervisors, and educators. As a former program director with 10+ years of experience in the non-profit sector focusing on supporting youth in the public education system and foster care system, I aim to support those who have committed themselves to staff and students. They are also neuro-divergent living with ADHD. They use race and racism as the lens through which they do equity work. They are from Los Angeles, California, currently living in Portland, Oregon. Growing up, They spent every summer at their mother&#x27;s work, a non-profit legal aid in a low-income Latino community. As soon as they could read, they were volunteering and learning about the inequities that existed in their community. This is what inspired them to make social justice a priority in their life. They are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and are dedicated to sharing knowledge about the nonbinary experience to create a more inclusive world and workplace. In their personal life, they are an artist and musician, with two cats.
