We are excited to offer virtual sessions for the Interprofessional Book Club to discuss Zach Norris' book, Defund Fear: Safety Without Policing, Prisons, and Punishment. Originally titled We Keep Us Safe: Building Secure, Just, and Inclusive Communities, the book calls upon many systems that play a role in the imperative for community safety, including the criminal legal system, healthcare, education, food and housing access and support for caregivers.
The following book club dates will be led by Jann Murray-Garcia, M.D., M.P.H., associate clinical professor at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis.
