Interning Green

Interning Green

Resources for the FutureWashington, DC
Overview

A networking event for DC interns in the environmental sector.

Resources for the Future (RFF) is excited to invite “green” interns (working in or studying environmental policy, climate policy, or environmental science) from across the DC metro area to join us in our basement lounge for an afternoon of connection and discussion. We’ll chat with RFF Fellows, Dr. Jesse Buchsbaum and Dr. Yanjun (Penny) Liao, as they reflect on both their academic and career journeys and their research in environmental policy and economics. Dr. Buchsbaum focuses on topics such as energy affordability and how electricity markets can evolve to be more resilient and reliable. Dr. Liao focuses on adaptation and risk management, currently exploring how the rise in natural disasters impacts how governments and individuals think about housing and insurance. We welcome your questions during this discussion.

The event will conclude with beverages, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts. If you are an intern working in environmental policy, climate policy, or environmental science, please register by Thursday, July 2. We look forward to seeing you there!
