International Vietnamese Mental Health Association: San Diego Meet Up
International Vietnamese Mental Health Association (IVMHA) is a group dedicated to the support, development, and enhancement of cultural, linguistic, and clinical responsiveness when working with the Vietnamese community. We are a relatively new association with aspirations to organize Vietnamese mental health professionals internationally (this includes therapists, researchers, psychiatrists, psychologists, etc.). We have been having monthly online meetings to discuss items such as in-language clinical support, mental health research for the community, culturally-adaptive approaches, and conference planning.
We are having our second in-person event to bring folks in our association together and are extending the invitation to the public in case folks are curious or know of people who would be interested in checking out what we are all about.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 18 @ 1-4pm @ Liberty Public Market in San Diego, California (2820 Historic Decatur Rd, San Diego, CA 92106). If you will be coming, please feel free to let Tri Nguyen know by texting him at (619) 384-7602.
The venue has multiple food stalls which will provide lots of variety but to avoid losing each other, you can also message him to figure out where the group is at.
