About this event

International students bring valuable knowledge, skills, and perspectives to UMD. How can we, as instructors, ensure these students feel integral to our academic community? Join Maryland Global and the TLTC to learn about UMD’s international student population and practice strategies for increasing belonging, explicitly articulating academic culture, and supporting a diverse global student population in the classroom. This event is the second in a series exploring best practices for designing curricula enriched with multicultural and international perspectives and fostering class participation and involvement that can drive international student satisfaction and academic success.
