Thank you for registering for Portland Taiko's "Movement and Matsuri" Winter Session. Taiko is a physical activity, so please keep your water bottle handy, and wear comfortable exercise clothing and sneakers. We will be playing on a practice drum, pillow, or cushion with grocery-bag sticks (instructions in confirmation email) or drum sticks. The class meets online via Zoom (link in confirmation email) every Wednesday from January 20 - March 10, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Intermediate/Advanced Taiko Class | April 24—June 12, 6:30 to 8:30 pm

Festival drumming, flowing choreography, interlocking rhythms, and percussion.

About this event

Description: This spring session will be a continuation of the combined Intermediate and Advanced taiko class. Now that many of the basics have been solidified, we'll have a chance to dive deeper into Matsuri-Daiko/Midare-uchi. This class will be taught by artistic director Tiffany Tamaribuchi.

Schedule: Meets every Wednesday for eight sessions, April 24 through June 12, 2024, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Prerequisite: One Taiko 101 workshop + 10 beginning drop-in classes, one intermediate session, OR invitation from instructor.
