Intermediate Cherry on Top Sugar Cookie Decorating Workshop

Interested in taking your sugar cookie skills to the next level? Dessert Valley Sweets is here to help! This 2 hour intermediate-level, in-person workshop is designed for decorators who already understand the basics of sugar cookies and royal icing and are ready to build on that foundation.

We’ll cover intermediate piping techniques, icing consistency control, decorating strategy, and design planning, not just how to decorate, but why certain techniques work best. We’ll also touch on dough and icing concepts that help your cookies look more polished and professional.

Everything you need is provided in this workshop along with a live, in-person instructor. Just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).

We will only have 6 seats available for each of our intermediate classes to ensure we can provide enough support and attention to class goers

About This Workshop

This workshop is intended for intermediate cookie decorators or for students who pick up new concepts quickly. If you’ve taken a cookie decorating class before, have worked with royal icing, or feel comfortable outlining and flooding cookies, you’ll feel right at home here.

We’ll be decorating six Cherry-themed cookies using techniques designed to build control, consistency, and design flow.

We provide everything you need, cookies, icing, sprinkles, tools, and a box to take your creations home in. Each participant receives 6 cookies, 5 icing colors, sprinkles, and all necessary tools. Everything is prepped before class, no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!

This workshop takes place on 6/27/2026 from 2:30PM–4:30PM (please arrive on time so we can decorate and answer questions along the way). Seating is limited to 6 seats so be sure to grab your spot early.

Recommended for ages 12 and up. Younger decorators may enjoy an add-on take-home kit, which includes the cookies, icing, and the class PowerPoint so you can teach at home.
