Write your own text-based choose-your-own-adventure story

In this bring-your-own-computer workshop, award-winning videogame designer Bobby Lockhart will be your guide as you learn the ropes of interactive fiction. Over the course of 2 hours, you'll create two works of short interactive fiction, and you'll leave with the skills to create many more.What’s Included:<ul><li>Introduction to interactive fiction</li><li>You'll play some brilliant examples to learn from</li><li>Tutorial on the Twine IF tool</li><li>Learn interactive story structures</li><li>Space and guidance to create your own pieces</li><li>General writing advice</li><li>How to publish your stories to the web</li><li>Outlets for keeping your computer charged</li></ul>What’s Not Included:Computers are not provided – you will need to bring your own to be able to participate in this class. Outlets will be available for charging, but please try to have your computer fully charged in advance.Workshop Tickets are Final Sale and not eligible for refunds:<ul><li>Our Workshop Tickets are like concert or event tickets - they are non-refundable but are transferable to a different person. If you find yourself unable to attend a workshop, you may find some one to take your place.</li><li>If someone else will be taking your ticket, Email Us and let us know their name so we can add it to our list. In the case of unsafe weather like a severe snow storm, we will cancel the workshop and reschedule for a future date. If you’re unable to attend the rescheduled date, we will offer you a refund.</li></ul>Accessibility Note: Lot’sa is located on a ground floor. There is a single stall bathroom, (not ADA accessible). There is an ADA accessible bathroom at a nearby business if needed.Covid Safety Protocols:<ul><li>Use of appropriately sized HEPA air purifier</li><li>Masks offered at no cost</li><li>Workshops limited to 10 attendees</li><li>Surfaces sanitized &amp; hand sanitizer available in shop/restroom</li></ul>
