Are you ready to get your poetry on? Join us on June 4, 2024 at Satori Arts for ‘Inter|Act,’ a FREE spoken word open mic night, from 7-9 pm, with featured poet Julia Chiapella. Julia's poetry has appeared in Avatar Review, Edison Literary Review, Euphony Journal, I-70 Review, Midwest Quarterly, The Opiate Magazine, Pirene’s Fountain and West Branch among others. She co-founded Santa Cruz Writes and is the retired director of the Young Writers Program, which she established in 2012. She received the Gail Rich Award for creative contributions to Santa Cruz County and has taught as both a classroom teacher and a writing specialist. She is a member of The Hive Poetry Collective.
