<p>T﻿his hands-on workshop invites participants to string intention beads inspired by Malcom X&#x27;s legacy of community healing and self-determination. Drawing from a selection of beads sourced from Harlem, New Orleans and Miami, participants will transcribe one intention for every bead they string.</p><p>About Us: The Black School is an experimental art school teaching Black, PoC students and allies to become agents of change in their communities through art and design workshops based in Black radical histories and public projects that address local community needs. We do this through an art school, festival, and youth-staffed design firm.  Based on our commitment to community building and our core principles of Black love, wellness, and self-determination, The Black School’s mission is to promote and extend the legacy of art in Black radical histories by providing innovative education alternatives. Through art workshops, events and programming, and our youth-staffed art and design firm, we use art to transform social realities.</p>
