About this event

Integrating The Needs of Children in Disasters

Integrating the Needs of Children workshop was developed to help communities build programs that meet the needs of children during disasters. The workshop brings emergency managers together with representatives from child-serving organizations and other partners to build relationships, promote collaboration, and enable information sharing. Anyone invested in keeping children safe during disasters and emergencies is welcome to attend this workshop! The event is brought to you by the Jackson County Systems of Care and Children and Youth in Disasters and FEMA Region 7. The workshop is located at the Kansas City PBS campus with plenty of free, off-street parking. Light refreshments and snacks will be served. Lunch is on your own with many great places nearby.
