Join us at ChurchKey on Tuesday, September 9th, as we host Gavin Scoreby, Head Brewer of Samuel Smith Brewery! On this evening, Gavin will lead a guided tasting through 7 of his classic English beer and cider.
Founded in 1758 in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, Samuel Smith is one of England’s oldest and most traditional independent breweries. Established at The Old Brewery, which still operates today, they are renowned for using heritage methods such as Yorkshire square fermenters, which are stone vessels that encourage distinctive fermentation characteristics.
Tickets are $35 per guest, which includes gratuity. and seven 4 oz. pours. The private tasting begins at 6:00 PM. This experience offers a rare chance to meet Gavin Scoreby while he’s visiting from England. Members of the ChurchKey Beer Academy and Bluejacket Officers’ Club will receive a special code for a 10% discount.
