An educational event to raise awareness of the conditions of the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre and to discuss a future without jails.

In collaboration with the Criminalization Punishment Education Project, the Sociology Anthropology Student Association presents a panel discussing the conditions of the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre featuring defence lawyer Michael Spratt, Ottawa Jail Accountability &amp; Information Line&#x27;s coordinator, Souheil Benslimane, and Mothers Offering Mutual Support&#x27;s Farhat Rehman. This event will consist of a poetry reading by Vanessa Fareau, a panel discussion, and a fundraising opportunity. Please brings your curious mind and great questions.
