Women In Comedy

Women make up 50% of our population, so why aren’t we seeing at least 50% reflected in stand-up headliners, commercial comedy films, or comedy specials? Our Inside Jokes conference will touch on relevant topics in today’s comedy industry and most importantly share the resources that Women in Comedy can provide as a community. 
 
Only 18% of late night TV writers are women. Off that 18%, only 14% are women of color. Whether your interest lays in joining a curated, virtual writers circle with other funny, talented women across the nation or you want to expand your professional network in the comedy industry in Seattle, Inside Jokes is the conference for you.
 
We believe in educating, empowering, and connecting powerful, ambitious, hilarious, and talented women in the comedy industry with resources that foster their professional development and advancement. Through our online and real-life community, we promote the creation of personal relationships, business relationships, and mentoring relationships in order to advance and increase women's voices, presence, and pay scale in the comedy industry.
