Personal security is a fundamental human need, but ultimately an individual responsibility. In the moment of truth, the “lifeguards” of society simply won’t be there to protect us. We are, in effect, on our own.

Yet violence is never random, and even the most desperate predator is careful in selecting his prey. All “Bad Guys”—from the street criminal to the persuasion predator—follow predictable patterns. You can identify their behavior in advance through a few easily spotted indicators—but only if you know what to look for.

This unique workshop teaches how to recognize when you might be in danger; avoid and deter threats; and how to decisively respond physically to defend yourself if you have to.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

• How to recognize early warning indicators of danger, including from predators that use charm and persuasion to create opportunities
• How to recognize and manage “interviews” that often precede an attack
• How to fight back using your bare hands, or improvised weapons such as pens, magazines, and cell phones as powerful force-multipliers to incapacitate an aggressor from close range

• Ability to perform mild to moderate physical activity
