About this event

  • 4 hours

Join us on Friday, June 7, 2024, in the DHEC Training Room at the Greenville County Clemson Extension office for an Initial Private Applicator Training, Private Pesticide Applicator exam, and recertification training.

Take this opportunity to learn how to apply pesticides safely and legally, test to be licensed to be a private applicator in South Carolina, or gain 4 CEUs if you are already a South Carolina licensed pesticide applicator.

Private applicator licenses are intended for agricultural producers who must purchase, use, or supervise the use of restricted-use pesticides on their operations. This training is not appropriate for homeowners or those seeking a commercial or noncommercial applicator's license.

Licensing exam will be administered immediately following the training. Participants must be present for the entire training to be eligible to take the licensing exam or sign for recertification credits.

Pro Tip: Drew Jeffers recommends that applicators purchase the "Applying Pesticides Correctly: A Guide for Private and Commercial Applicators" manual as study material for the exam.
