INGENUITY: Taking Flight on Mars

Since our founding in 2010, our impact and influence in advancing the goal of landing humans on Mars has been unquestionable. But our most significant work is about to unfold, as we continue to expand and accelerate our numerous programs and projects. Through programs such as the Humans to Mars Summit, VR/AR Mars Working Group, the Mars Achievability Initiative, and Why Mars workshops, we bring space stakeholders, policymakers, and others together to tackle the tough issues that have frequently divided them.

<h2>INGENUITY: Taking Flight on Mars </h2><h3>A Virtual 2020 Humans to Mars Summit Web Event</h3>Join us for a special webinar entitled, "Ingenuity: Taking Flight on Mars", that will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2 pm EST. This webinar will feature Joshua Ravich, the Mechanical Engineering lead for the Ingenuity Mars helicopter project, who will be joined by Explore Mars President, Janet Ivey. Josh and Janet will discuss the ambitious mission of Ingenuity, which, if successful, will be the first aircraft (helicopter) to fly on Mars. Ingenuity is scheduled to land on Mars aboard the Perseverance rover on February 18, 2021.
