Information Technology and the Built Environment of the Operating Room
Event Information
Description
Designers, architects, clinicians and informatics experts will come together for a half-day workshop at the Center for Medical Interoperability focusing on how an integrated information environment can interact with the built environment to support team performance and focus attention on the patient during the surgical journey (from preoperative holding, through the operating room, to recovery). Much of the way information is presented to and collected from clinicians in surgical settings pulls attention away from patients to focus on screens and workstations, and we envision a radically different ideal state for patient care. This event will be held in partnership with Design Thinking Nashville.
Participation is by invitation only - please visit https://is.gd/NDWHealthcare to apply! Applications will be open until Friday, November 2nd, and applications will be notified regarding participation no later than Monday, November 5th.
