<h3>What is a CDI Mentor?</h3>CDI Mentors join our online community (CDI Connect) and make themselves available to our college scholars for career advice, professional guidance, and skill-building. CDI Mentors are an integral resource and support system to scholars as they work towards graduation, prepare for the workforce, and secure employment. CDI mentoring opportunities are flexible and virtual. Your guidance, encouragement, and expertise are needed! Mentors are especially needed from the following industries:<ul><li>Healthcare and Health Professional Sciences (including biomedical and medicine)</li><li>Engineering</li><li>Computer Science</li></ul> You&#x27;ll be a great fit to be a CDI mentor if you are any of the following:<ul><li>A growing professional wanting to build your leadership and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Love connecting with college students from diverse backgrounds.</li><li>Were the first in your family to go to college and navigate resources.</li><li>Are connected to and want to share professional and career resources with young leaders.</li></ul>CDI Mentor Eligibility<ul><li>Be at least 21 years of age</li><li>Have at least a bachelor’s degree</li><li>Have an appreciation and ability to work with college students from diverse backgrounds</li><li>Commit to one year</li><li>Pass volunteer background check</li></ul>Register for this virtual information session to learn more about the program, our scholars, the mentorship role, and the next steps to be a mentor! The sessions will be via Zoom. This session is not mandatory if you wish to apply.
