Inflatable Art Installation workshop presented by goya design resident artist, Sofibea.

Peckham Levels

As part of the London Design Festival 2022, goya resident artists will be taking over Peckham Levels. Resident artist Sofia will be hosting an Inflatable Art Installation workshop, exploring pneumatic architecture and collective performance where guests will be fully immersed in the production of a large-scale installation.This three-hour workshop will unfold the appeal, potential, and wide application of inflatable technology. The main part of the event will be the collaboration and co-production of a site-specific art installation testing unconventional shapes and different air systems. While going through the design process, you will experience how this kind of artwork can transform and reinterpret the space it inhabits in a way that can be considered innovative, revolutionary, political, and avant-garde. Join us in the goya design studio on Level Six of Peckham Levels for an immersive, bubbly experience.*Please note the event may last longer than 3 hours*About <a href="https://www.sofibea.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sofibea</a>: Sofia Beatrice Malatesta is an architect, artist and designer. She defines herself as a multidisciplinary practitioner as she can move between digital and physical while transferring her skills from static to immersive. She sharpened her aesthetic sense while stressing social and ecological considerations throughout the design process, developing an understanding of how to design a space that can work across different modes and deliver to different media. Her focus is on the relationship between people and spaces analyzing it through arts and social disciplines to translate physical places into sets where the spirit performs and determines individual and community growth.About goya design: goya is a company of inventors launching new products, services and ventures.
