Whether you are a first time Parent or have many little's at home this class is for you!

10 Reasons to Massage Your Baby

Loving massage can increase muscle tone, improve baby's motor skills, IQ, teach respect and trust. Soothe, repair, and improve security and relaxation for baby and you!

The Parent/Infant Classes:

Classes are grounded in a tradition-based, International curriculum for all babies from Newborn to 12 months. We also talk through keeping this nurturing touch massage as part of family as little grow and change.

Original Concepts:

  • Asking permission and building the security of in the hearts of babies as they grow
  • Building respect
  • Recognizing and following Baby’s cues as they communicate with Parents
  • Understanding “Still Touch” and “Touch Relaxation”
  • Bringing a simple multi-integrated routine for Parents and babies

Strong aspects of this class:

  • Only Parents massage their babies in this class
  • Parents learn in class with support and encouragement, and then practice together at home during the week
  • Classes provide the foundation for nurturing touch/massage that is a flexible and adaptable routine for life.
  • This Class/Program is a tool to help parent to know and enjoy their baby and build a strong, secure family, reduce abuse and post-natal depression, and enhance parenting confidence and skill.

Class Format:

  • This is an in-person class format
  • This is a 4 week Class with each class being held for 1.15 hours in length.
  • All classes in this series will be held on Saturday's at 1 pm PST
  • Paricipants are asked to pring a blanket for baby to lay on during class. Instructor will provide mats for participants.
  • Participants are asked to provide a massage oil to use with baby. Please use cold-pressed oils such as Grape Seed Oil when massaging infant. DO NOT use Coconut oils.

Class Dates:

  • Saturday, May 4, 11,18, 23: 1-2:15 pm PST

Class Registration Fee: $175.00

* For those who would also like to have Instructor purchase the Book “Infant Massage: A Handbook for Loving Parents”, that can be done for an additional $35. This price includes shipping as well. Parents can also obtain this book themselves if they choose to. It’s is recommended for all families taking this series

FAQs

Who can participate: Parents, Grandparents, and any caregiver that Parents feel would benefit from the knowledge and experience of this class may participate.

Who will be massaging out little one: YOU! During this class, parents are encouraged to bring gentle massage movements and nurturing touch to their little ones. The Instructor will be demonstrating movements using an infant doll. Particpants are encouraged to have only 1 person work with their little one during each session. Other Parent or Participant is welcome to use a doll, stuffed animal or simply observe and learn.

What if I want a private Class series: Private Class / in-home format Class series are available. Please contact Instructor for more information.

Refund Policy: No refunds are avaialble for this class. Participants can contact Instructor to change do another class series or into a private class format.

Molly Patterson is a DONA Certified Birth Doula, a Postpartum Doula, an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor, and Owner of TenderHands Doula Services.

She currently teaches and supports birthing families in the Willamette Valley region of Oregon. Molly has been teaching Evidence Based Birth® Classes and Workshop throughout the state of Oregon since she completed her Evidence Based Birth® Instructor training in 2016.
