Sequoia Healthcare District serves the residents of central and southern San Mateo County. Specifically this includes the cities of Atherton, Belmont, Redwood City, Portola Valley, San Carlos, Woodside and portions of Menlo Park, Foster City and San Mateo.

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness caused by a novel virus that has been spreading worldwide.  Community-acquired cases have now been confirmed in California. Therefore, at this time, we have decided to postpone our Infant CPR classes indefinitely.
We hope that you will take preventative steps to stay safe and healthy throughout this uncertain time such as but not limited to:
1 - Stay home if you become sick, except to get medical care.
2 - Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve, then throw the tissue into the trash.
3 - Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
4 - Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
5 - Frequently clean touched surfaces and objects daily.
6 - Minimize close contact such as hand shaking or hugging.
(Infant CPR For New Parents is for parents and other caregivers who want to learn infant CPR and do NOT require a certified course completion card. This course is ideal for new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save an infant’s life.
The Infant Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of infant CPR with breaths, AED use, and relief of infant choking. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.
