Eduard Arriaga is Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Languages and Cross-Cultural Studies. He is the Project Director of Data in the Humanities. Humanities in Data, a workshop series sponsored by Indiana Humanities, devoted to explore productive connections betwen STEM and humanistic disciplines.

This workshop is the first in a series that explores connections between humanistic inquiry and STEM fields, particularly represented in paradigms such as digital humanities, cultural analytics, data science, and data mining. Conducted by Jonathan DiBlasi, professor of Art and Visual Culture from Iowa State University, with the support of University of Indianapolis faculty, the workshop will create a space to think about and experience how the interaction between humanities and STEM disciplines has been fundamental in our current digital world. This event is open to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty from other disciplines, and community members from Indianapolis, including high school teachers, business leaders, and members of community organizations.
