Odyssey ClayWorks is an educational pottery center in Ashevillethat seeks to make a difference in the life of our community by opening the diversity of ceramic traditions to all its members – but especially those who would not otherwise have access. We offer classes and workshops in all aspects of pottery making. Unique to our studio are professional development for K-12 teachers, a free therapeutic program for veterans, a residency for early career ceramic artists, award-winning programming for kids, and high school mentoring.For more information call:(828)-285-0210

Independent Study Open Studio Hours Every Day March 20- April 27 
Back by popular demand! Odyssey ClayWorks is proud to offer this dynamic studio experience custom tailored to your needs: Self directed study, with studio representatives available for technical advice and support. The Independent Study will feature 8 optional one-hour demos on various aspects of studio practice for beginner to advanced students as well as a kiln talk by Les Powell of Highwater Clays. As a bonus, each Friday you are invited to the Director's Discussion, an open dialogue about ceramic technique, aesthetics, and valuation with Odyssey Director Gabriel Kline. Bring ideas for projects and an inquisitive mind. There will be open studio hours every day. Demo schedule TBA.
