Join Linda McKenna to explore Downpatrick’s four seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth century gaol sites and the stories of their prisoners. The walk will finish at the Gallows Hill, the traditional execution site in Downpatrick where many ‘incorrigibles and unfortunates’ ended their days. This walking tour departs from Down County Museum and lasts approximately one hour and three quarters. Suitable for adults and older children. Please note the final stop at Gallows Hill is a steep climb. Please be prepared for the weather. This walk is part of the Downpatrick Heritage Walks Festival
