Including Quantum in Space
A conference dedicated to the intersection of two of the most exciting frontiers in modern science: quantum technologies and astrophysics!
Join us for a conference dedicated to the intersection of two of the most exciting frontiers in modern science: quantum technologies and astrophysical research. "Including Quantum in Space" offers a unique platform to explore how the behavior of matter at the smallest scales is unlocking the secrets of the universe at the largest scales. This event brings together academic experts and industry leaders to discuss the next generation of space exploration.
Morning Session: Scientific Talks
The day begins with a series of in-depth scientific talks focused on the application of quantum technologies in astrophysics. Leading researchers will present cutting-edge topics, illustrating how quantum sensors, clocks, and communication systems are revolutionizing our ability to observe and understand the cosmos. Some of the most recent projects and space exploration missions will also be presented.
Networking and Collaboration
Following the morning sessions, we have dedicated time for open networking. This is a vital opportunity for participants to connect with peers, discuss the morning's presentations, and foster. Whether you are looking for research partners or simply want to exchange ideas, this segment is designed to build community within this niche field.
Afternoon Session: Posters and Industry
The afternoon shifts focus on current research and practical application.
- Poster Session: Explore a diverse array of research projects during our poster session. We welcome submissions covering a broad spectrum of topics related to space exploration, quantum technologies, or the convergence of both fields. Submit a poster presentation
- Industry Perspectives: We will conclude the event with presentations from leading industry representatives. These experts will showcase how commercial entities are integrating quantum tech into aerospace solutions.
- Q&A Panel: The day wraps up with an interactive Q&A session, allowing the audience to engage directly with industry speakers about future trends, career opportunities, and technological challenges.

CLAP: Astrophysics at Insubria
The CLAP (Como Lake Center for Astrophysics) is a research institute that brings together PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, researchers, and professors from the University of Insubria and INAF in Merate. Our work spans a wide range of topics, including the Galactic Center, black holes, astrochemistry, exoplanets, and cosmology, supported by long-standing collaborations with researchers worldwide. In this talk, I will introduce the members of CLAP and outline our main research areas, providing an overview of our activities at Insubria and highlighting potential future opportunities for its students.
