What should I wear to the event?

Accepted Answer

Come dressed in your best witchy attire! We encourage you to get creative with your costumes, but please make sure your outfit is safe and comfortable for a bicycle ride. There will be prizes for the scariest, funniest and most creative witchy attire.

Is there an age limit to participate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for the safety of the riders and the spectators, participants should be 16  or older.  Please note that all riders will need to purchase a ticket.

Do I need to bring my own bike?

Yes, please bring your own bicycle. We want to ensure all witches have a noble steed for our spectral journey.  Please bring a lock to secure your bike at the Cossitt playground adjacent to The Elm.

What will happen at the afterparty?

The afterparty at The Elm will have delicious food, refreshing drinks, lively music, and a chance to win exciting prizes in the silent auction. It's a great time to relax and mingle with fellow witches!

What is the purpose of this event?

This event is a fundraiser for the La Grange Historical Society. Your participation helps us preserve our building and services that keep our history alive.

Can I buy tickets at the event or do I need to purchase them in advance?

Accepted Answer

We highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance to ensure your spot. However, if tickets remain, they will be sold at the event.

Are spectators welcome to watch the witches' ride?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Spectators are not only welcome but highly encouraged to line the route and cheer for our witches as they ride by.

Question 8

What if it rains?

Accepted Answer

The event will go on, rain or shine. If there's heavy rain, we might need to adjust our plans for the safety of the riders. Any updates will be communicated on our website and social media channels.

Is there a limit to the number of tickets that I can purchase?

Accepted Answer

There is no limit to the number of tickets you may purchase. All riders must purchase a ticket.

Question 10

Is it necessary to ride a bike in order to participate in the event?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. Anyone can join and participate by attending the after party at The Elm.  Tickets are required and will be sold at the door.

Question 11

Where will candy be distributed?

Accepted Answer

Particpants will have a chance to distribute candy to all spectators who come by the 400 block of Madison from 12-1 prior to the start of the ride.

Question 12

What is the purpose of the wristband?

Accepted Answer

The wristband will be distributed to all particpants on Friday, October 13th at registration pick up. This wristband is necessary to particpate in the ride and is your entry to The Elm. It's necessary to wear to particpate in this event.
