Liberty’s Promise supports low-income immigrant youth in the Washington DC metro area, by providing them with the means to become involved in their community, pursue higher education, and embark upon meaningful careers.Through our programs, we serve the educational, social, and emotional needs of immigrant youth by providing hands-on, after school programming, and internship opportunities to empower newcomer youth to unlock their full potential, become self-sufficient, and achieve their goals in the United States. Youth will learn how to be involved in their Arlington community while also learning skills to help them access higher education and gainful employment.

Join us on September 17 to celebrate the achievements of Jonathan Jayes-Green &amp; Professor Carol Sigelman at the Inaugural LP Alumni Awards. We&#x27;re thrilled to be bestowing the first-ever LP Alumni Award to Johathan for their incredible achievements and unstoppable commitment to enacting change across the United States.As is LP tradition, we will be awarding Professor Carol Sigelman with the 2021 John Greely Award for her unwavering support of Liberty&#x27;s Promise and our mission.A three-course seated meal will be provided, with an open beer and wine bar for all guests (21+) to enjoy! On the evening we will hold a silent auction and raffle, with all proceeds going directly to supporting our after-school programs for immigrant youth. Attire- Black Tie OptionalCOVID Precautions To ensure everyone&#x27;s safety, we will implement a number of COVID-19 protocols on the evening including: mask requirements (unless attendees are eating/drinking), individually plated meals with full service to avoid mass movement, and proof of vaccination for entry to the Institute.
