We're so excited to announce this series of crochet workshops, held in Tuleste Factory's beautiful space! This three installment series will be held the first three Tuesdays in July, to ground us in a regular rhythm of creation. If you've always wanted to learn to crochet, or just want to get out of your thoughts and into your body, you're in the right place. Tuesday, July 7th - Intro to Technique + Philosophy of FabricHere, we'll dive in to the rich history of fabric as a tool of civilization, and how we can better understand this depth in our modern world. We will also pick colors and notions, which you can bring with you to continue your craft journey.Tuesday, July 14th - Stitchmaking and TensionTension is essential to all fiber crafts - and controlling it is the fastest way to even, skillful stitchmaking with minimal risk of injury. Crochet cannot be created by machine, so we'll dive into the very humane history of crochet across millennia, and continue work on our scarves.Tuesday, July 21st - Creation CelebrationWe did it! After hours of learning, growing, and play, we'll have come to the end of our time together. So, it's time to party! We'll finish up our last stitches if there's more to be done, and toast to our success. It's not about finished work, it's about the learning and skill that it took to get there. Excited to see you soon!
