About this event

The Walters Art Museum offers in-person tours in the galleries for adult and college groups, with opportunities for either docent-led or self-guided experiences. Please complete this registration form to reserve a date for your adult or college group group.

Tours are FREE. A voluntary contribution of $7 per participant will help us sustain educational programs for our communities.

Docent-led or self-guided exploration in the galleries offered on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Weekend tours or self-guided exploration available by request. Docent-led group tours are 60 minutes long. We ask that your reservation be for a minimum of 5 participants.

After you complete your tour request form, you will be contacted by a Walters staff member to confirm details within five business days.

  • Highlights of the Walters Collection : In 1931, Henry Walters bequeathed to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, “for the benefit of the public,” the collections built by him and his father. Discover highlights from this collection and more recent acquisitions to the Walters Art Museum.

  • Ethiopia at the Crossroads (Available Beginning December 6, 2023): Opening December 2023, The Walters Art Museum presents an extraordinary exhibition celebrating the artistic traditions of Ethiopia from their origins to the present day.
