Santa Fe: Arts, Crafts, Operas & More!

July 9-(14), 2024

Take a deep dive into the words of arts, crafts, opera, cuisine! Understand why New Mexico is called “The Land of Enchantment” by experiencing its stunning Landscapes, fascinating History, traditional and innovative Cuisine, diverse collection of Art & Art Galleries, unique Architecture and, of course, the renowned Santa Fe Opera.

Two wonderful performances await! Mozart’s sparking tragi-comedy Don Giovanni and Verdi’s heartbreaking masterpiece La Traviata.

Enrich the opera-going experience with James Sokol's private Exploring Opera pre-performance lectures.

Journey out of town on a Special Excursion: Southwestern Art & Craft.

Begin with a trip to a stunning Sculpture Garden & Gallery, which features over 70 monumental works – both representation and abstract – of a renowned, but also overlooked (by the art establishment) New Mexican artist.

Relax over Lunch in the beautiful surroundings of an out-of-town resort.

New Mexico colors are revealed by an extraordinary light - light so clear and intense that it has inspired countless artists – from Anasazi masters to Ansel Adams and Georgia O’Keefe. This afternoon, make a stop at a Ceramics Studio to see how these colors –of the sun and the earth and the sky – are brought into the works by these artisans.

End our journey with a special stop for a sample of the culinary arts! The Handmade Chocolates of this craftsman features premium fresh, local, and organic ingredients. Indulge in a piece of a timeless chocolate classics or explore contemporary twists and regional flair.

Use Free Time to explore the city's many offerings, countless boutiques, museums & galleries or join in one or more of our Optional Activities, such as an interesting & delicious Southwestern Demonstration Cooking Class & Lunch - perfect for everyone regardless of whether or not you cook - or...

...or, attend the International Folk Art Market, which brings together 100+ artists preserving cultural craft traditions, from textiles to painting and more.

Led by opera instructor and arts maven, James Sokol, the trip promises to be a magical mixture of art, architecture, opera, history, food & fun!
