About this event

  • 2 hours

Join art educator and nature lover Kristin Bauersfeld in a workshop that combines nature, journaling, and art. In this session, inspired by the exhibition, Forces of Nature, visitors will learn watercolor and oil pastel techniques that can be used to add a splash of color to a nature journal page. After, visitors can 'get colorful" with interactive art activities in the Education Center. Participants can bring their own sketchbook or create their own DIY sketchbook at the program. This workshop is for ages 8+.

The Portrait Gallery strives to provide programs that are accessible to all visitors. If you have questions about the accessibility of this program, or if you would like to request real-time captioning (CART), sign language interpretation, or any other accommodations, please contact RubensteinI@si.edu. Two weeks' advance notice is appreciated for requesting accommodations.
