About this location

This concert will take place at the Shore Acres State Park in Coos Bay, Oregon. Once the estate of the illustrious lumber baron, Louis J. Simpson, Shore Acres State Park is an awe-inspiring landscape of manicured gardens and lawn perched on the cliffs above a dramatic coastline. Concert check-in opens at 4:00 pm, and the performance begins at 5:00 pm.

A portion of ticket sales from these two Shore Acres concerts (September 4 & September 5) will benefit the Friends of Shore Acres who have partnered with the Sunset Bay Management Unit since 1986 to care for the gardens, the gift shop, and to organize the magnificent Holiday Lights show that brings thousands of visitors each year to enjoy this Oregon treasure. Many thanks to our concert sponsors, Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation, Travel Southern Oregon Coast, and Oregon’s Adventure Coast for making these concerts possible!

Please note: There is a $5.00 per day parking fee at Shore Acres State Park. Cash only, credit and debit cards not accepted.

This event takes place on the ancestral and occupied territory of the Mulik Coos, Coos, The Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw peoples.

Organized by

A nonprofit founded in 2016 by classical pianist Hunter Noack, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild™ is an outdoor concert series where America's most stunning landscapes replace the traditional concert hall. A 9-foot Steinway grand piano travels on a flatbed trailer to National Parks, urban greenspaces, working ranches, farms, and historical sites for classical music concerts that connect people with each landscape. To meet the acoustical challenges of performing in the wild, music is transmitted to concert-goers via wireless headphones. No longer confined to seats, audiences are able to explore the landscape, wander through secret glens, lie in sunny meadows, and roam old growth forests.
