Looking to explore the universe of improvisation? This 6-week course is ready to launch! Whether your goal is to unlock your creative potential, finally defeat your perfectionist demons, improve your communication skills, or just have fun and meet new friends, this 6 week class will have you laughing and learning along the way. Taught by an expert instructor who cares deeply about the success and enjoyment of every participant, this class is a great place to gain confidence and express yourself in a supportive environment.

This class will culminate in a class showcase, so you can invite your friends and family to see everything you've learned, live on stage!

At The Nova Comedy Collective, we call this a LAUNCH CLASS - meaning it's the perfect place to start your journey, and absolutely no prior experience is necessary!

About the Instructor

Sam Hoar (they/them) has been performing, directing, and teaching improv for over a decade. They spent several seasons on the ImprovBoston National Touring Company, as well as most other casts at the theater. They love creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment, where every student can feel comfortable. Sam cares deeply about the success and enjoyment of each student - and they have a reputation in the Boston comedy community for fostering safe spaces and upholding the principle that good comedy is inclusive comedy.

Absolutely! This class has been designed to be accessible to anyone, with no prior experience necessary.

I want to take the class, but finances have been tight lately. Is there any flexibility in its cost?

Yes! As we work to expand our community of artists, we offer Community Scholarship tickets to BIPOC participants and participants who are income limited.
