Getting people into jobs has never been so important, yet there are people facing disproportionate barriers to obtaining work. In particular this includes people with criminal records, and the process for obtaining work following prison release or ROTL.

This session is to hear from employers about the barriers they face when hiring people with convictions, and when hiring people from other diverse groups where barriers exist that, if removed, could help more employers get people into jobs.

The event will be chaired by Emma Hardy MP (Labour) and co-chaired by Lord Lucas (Conservative) and speakers to be announced soon.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Modernising Employment (MODE) is a cross-party group of Members of Parliament and the House of Lords who share an interest in understanding how the UK labour market can lead the world in driving growth and providing a level playing field for everyone.

Places are limited so we may not be able to provide places for all members who register, in which case we will also attempt to provide virtual access to the meeting.

For authentication purposes we require you register with your organisation email, we cannot register your interest using a personal account.
