Day 3 of the IMPROV SPACES MUSIC FESTIVAL will include
Thomas Dressler Historic Organ Improvisation on the Round Lake Auditorium Davis-Ferris Organ
A talk about Baroque and Historic improvisation on the organ and a special performance on the Round Lake Auditorium's Davis-Ferris Organ by Thomas Dressler. Thomas Dressler is known for exciting, passionate performances on the organ and harpsichord which combine warm musicality with historic techniques. He has been performing for more than thirty years, often on historic instruments, including some of America's oldest and most historic organs.
New Sounds for Organ Trio
Dressler’s program will be followed by a series of contemporary exploratory improvisations on the pipe organ with Round Lake resident and organist Jonathan Fuller and Improv Spaces co-directors Alex Chang on the harp and Adam Forman on the drums.
