<H3>4-Week Class on Core Improv Skills </H3>
This four-night class will guide students through the basics of performing improvisational theatre. Dive into the core tenants of improvisational theatre with “Yes, and…,” celebrating failure, making your scene partner look good, and playing to the top of your intelligence. With interactive exercises you will heighten your awareness and learn how to be more playful, spontaneous and flexible while building your listening and communication skills, . No need to "be funny" or have a bunch of celebrity impressions tucked away in your pocket, we believe ANYONE can improvise and gain from the skills this class develops.
Improvisation skills are also great for performers of all types, whether you're an actor, writer, podcaster, dungeon master and anything and everything in between. Take to the stage and learn to turn a single word into amazing, inspired scenes on the spot!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
18. We offer youth classes for younger improvisers! Check out our <A HREF="http://mopco.org/classes" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">mopco.org/classes</A> to find a class.
How active are these classes?
Our classes involve a good amount of physical activity - you should feel comfortable being on your feet for at least an hour. Please email hey@mopco.org with any questions about accommodations for ability.
Are there any prerequisites to this class?
Not at all! This is a great place to start. If you're looking to really dive into improv, we recommend starting here before committing to one of our 6-week fundamentals classes. If just looking to try it out with a lower commitment, our Improv 101 or our monthly Monday Night Drop-In or Improv Jams. A jam is an especially great way to dip your toe in the water in a low stress, celebratory environment.  I'd love to get more involved at the Mopco Improv Theatre. How can I do that?
As we grow, Mopco is focused on creating more opportunities for our students to become part of our little community. Currently, we offer a volunteer program that offers students the ability to earn credit toward seeing shows or reducing their class enrollment fees. Help in the cafe, check tickets and catch a free show to boot! For more info, shoot us an email at volunteer@mopco.org.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Street parking is available on Union and N Jay street by our Theatre. Parking is available in the lot behind Perreca's as well as other public lots within a short walk of the theatre. The lot directly across from us is reserved for the Rossi &amp; Ditorro Funeral Home and is not always available for parking. DO NOTpark in the lot by JoJo’s Auto Service or you will be towed. What's the refund policy?
Cancellations for a full refund must be made 7 days or more prior to the first class. Less than 7 days: Your place in the class is non-refundable unless we can get someone to fill your spot.  
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Please make sure we know who to expect in class.
