About this event

Improv 501. Improv Formats.

In IMPROV 501, students will begin to go beyond open scenework and think about the structure of an Improv show. Improv 501 touches on ensemble, show pacing, and format. Each week students will learn new improv formats while still practicing their craft. The formats taught are decided upon by the class and instructor together, no two classes are taught the same.

Prerequisite: Improv 401

This is an eight (8) Week, In-Person Course

Corey O’Rourke

Corey has been a performer with Harold Night, The National Touring Company, All Access, and Mainstage here at ImprovBoston, he is an instructor for adults and kids here at ImprovBoston, and is now the Director of ImprovBoston’s Comedy School.

Corey has performed with Catalyst Comedy, Urban Improv, and Improv Asylum, and has gone through the comedy schools at ImprovBoston and Improv Asylum, and has traveled to Canada, Texas, and Florida among other places to perform comedy.

Corey loves the ImprovBoston community, the people, and the fact that audiences keep coming to ImprovBoston.

ImprovBoston Comedy School Refund Policy.

ImprovBoston Comedy School Tuition is fully refundable up to 2 business days before the start of your class. Within 2 business days of the start of the class, or once the class has started, REGISTRATION IS NON REFUNDABLE AND NON TRANSFERABLE.

In the event of a cancellation due to low student enrollment, students may be offered placement in another section. If the student cannot be placed in another section, a refund may be offered, or credit kept on file for a future class.

Only registered students will be allowed in the class. Due to our limited class sizes, class placement is not guaranteed until payment has been received in full. Further, the ImprovBoston Comedy School reserves the right to accept or deny any individual's application.
