Learn the basics of long-form improv. Students will cover scenework principles like "yes-and" and active listening. Over this six-week period, we'll build the groundwork for comedic improvised scenes that'll jumpstart your love of improv.

Classes every Wednesday, June 26 - July 31 from 7:00-9:30pm.
The course will culminate in a student show on Saturday, August 3 at 6:00 PM

Instructor:

Charles Givens has been an improviser since 2000, beginning with Wake County's high school group, Teen Co. Chuck has performed short-form, longform, and recently sketch comedy with Mettlesome. He has taught improv workshops for Duke and NC State and has performed in improv festivals in Raleigh, Atlanta, Richmond, and New York City. Chuck currently coaches an independent longform improv team in Durham.
