Laying the Foundation for Competency-Based Education (CBE). In this session, participants will gain a comprehensive introduction to the Marzano Academies Model, designed to foster personalized learning pathways for every student. We’ll explore the growing need for Competency-Based Education (CBE) in today’s educational landscape, examining how this model prioritizes mastery over seat time, allowing each learner to progress at their own challenge level based on demonstrated understanding. The session will also underscore the critical role of establishing a positive, supportive classroom culture in a CBE environment, creating a more equitable and engaging learning experience for all students.
