Space is the new frontier of entrepreneurship! Come join us to hear a comprehensive summary of the new "space stack", and to learn how space startups are launching into this realm to bring new services for the benefit of us all. We will hear from an early stage space tech investor, and two Y Combinator alumni - a serial entrepreneur building small satellites to cover the world in internet and from a founder working with satellite data to better understand the world. We will be meeting at <A HREF="http://sf.indiebio.co/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">IndieBio</A> in San Francisco (SoMa). 1. <A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/johngedmark/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">John Gedmark</A> - CEO and co-founder of <A HREF="http://www.astranis.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Astranis</A>, a startup building the next generation of telecommunications satellites. John was the co-founder and Executive Director of Commercial Spaceflight Federation. He previously served as Director of Flight Operations at X Prize Foundation.
2. <A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/devaki-raj-31205826/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Devaki Raj</A> - CEO and co-founder of <A HREF="https://crowdai.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CrowdAI</A>. Devaki previously worked on Google Maps and Energy as a data scientist and product manager. She has a Masters in Statistics and Machine Learning from the University of Oxford, where she also completed her undergraduate studies.
3. <A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/garrettgoldberg/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Garrett Goldberg</A> - Partner at <A HREF="http://beepartners.vc/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bee Partners</A>, a pre-Seed stage venture capital firm focused on supporting passionate Founders with deep market insights. He focuses on identifying Founders and startups servicing enterprises and enabling new marketplaces. He actively seeks investments in frontier technologies (drones, AI, NewSpace) and invests time in building companies that matter. The team at Bee are partners to the Founders and organizations in their community and believe time is worth more than money. An entrepreneur at heart, Garrett has worked in professional sports, real estate development, and technology. 4. <A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/brandonmairs/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Brandon Mairs</A> - CEO and founder of <A HREF="http://www.cloudix.space/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CloudIX</A>, a startup building ultra-low cost launch vehicles for small satellites.
