Join us on Aug. 19th  at 6:30pm for a night of laughter on our patio as four immigrant comedians perform their stand-up sets with us!

Thursday, August 19th at 6:30pm, join us for a night of comedy on our patio (1701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW). Highly recommend coming in for registration at 6pm to get your seat. Four local, immigrant comedians will be performing -- prepare to laugh! Two ticket tiers for our patio: table service and assigned seating. At the door ticket prices will be $10 for a seat and $15 for a table (min. 2 people). Cash only.Our emcee Rahmein Mostafavi is known for his charm and comedic timing. He has been performing for two decades; he is a former longtime cast member of &quot;Shear Madness,&quot; the acclaimed Kennedy Center improv/comedy whodunit, and has shared the stage with some of the best comics in the nation, including Dave Attell, Jake Johannsen, and Artie Lange. He&#x27;s also a returner from Immigrant Food&#x27;s first-ever Immigrant Comedy Night in 2020!Our exceptional comedians also include Umar Khan, Denise Taylor, and Martin Amini. A DMV native, Umar Khan is a Baltimore comedian who has been performing for the past 10 years. In 2019, he released his first special &quot;Umar Khan: Live in Baltimore&quot; on YouTube and Amazon Prime. He has performed at The DC Improv, 9:30 Club, The Historic Sixth &amp; I Synagogue, Big Hunt, Hilarities in Cleveland, Punchline Philly, and the DC Drafthouse. Umar has also featured for great comedians like The Daily Show&#x27;s Hasan Minhaj, Todd Barry, 30 Rock&#x27;s Judah Friedlander, Greg Fitzsimmons, Mark Normand Kyle Kinane, and Hari Kondabolu. Denise Taylor knew she&#x27;d be a comedian ever since her fourth grade teacher called her a &quot;ringleader&quot; for distracting the class with jokes. Today, she&#x27;s a regular at venues like the Kennedy Center, The DC Improv Comedy Club, and Underground Comedy DC&#x27;s Big Hunt. Denise&#x27;s sardonic material, unique observations, and commanding stage presence has placed her at the top of the comedy circuit in Washington, D.C. She&#x27;s opened for several national touring headliners, including Judah Friedlander, Chris Gethard, Kamau Bell, Moshe Kasher, and Nicole Byer. Denise is also a contributor for The Onion. Martin Amini is a stand-up comic and the founder of Washington D.C.’s latest art gallery, Room 808. Martin recently made Thrillist&#x27;s &quot;Best Undiscovered Stand Up Comedian List&quot; and has opened for headliners such as Trevor Noah, Jerrod Carmichael, and Hasan Minhaj. Martin&#x27;s stand-up material touches on what it&#x27;s like growing up mixed in America coming from an Iranian and Bolivian background.
