Is this event therapy?

No. Although we are licensed clinicians, this event is rooted in coaching and sport psychology approaches, focused on your goals and helping you create a mindset for success. We will have resources available if we think referrals to community providers would be beneficial for attendees.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching or sport psychology?

Accepted Answer

Therapy focuses on the root causes of someone's challenges to identify and diagnose disorders and alleviate symptoms through ongoing treatment. We will not dive into the deep rooted causes nor diagnose disorders. We will focus on mindset and lifestyle changes.

Do I have to share personal experiences?

What you share during open discussions is entirely up to you. We would love for people to feel comfortable and safe to share, but you will not be required to speak.

What can I expect?

The agenda will include experiential activities, such as meditation; movement, some light yoga; education about various topics; individual reflection; specific guidance to address individual goals; and open discussion with the group. Hopefully lots of laughter and opportunities for growth.

How do I get the most from the workshop?

After registration, you will complete a questionnaire that will allow the facilitators to tailor the workshop to the attendees needs. This is not a "one-size-fits-all" approach. We intend for you to walk away with specific steps for a better you.
