Imagining the New World (3-session series)
What kind of world do you want to see and how will you show up to create it? This workshop is your space to imagine and plan the new world.
COVID-19 has exposed, once again, the many ways that existing institutions and systems disappoint or fail our citizens and our planet. So what should take their place? It’s time to begin imagining and creating the just, fair, and beautiful world we would prefer to live in. What is possible in our homes, communities, and cities? Our schools, health care, and government? This short, but profound, workshop series will use meditation, physical exercises, creative self-reflection, and group discussion to process the personal and societal shortcomings and losses we’ve experienced in the last several years, and ponder the immense possibilities that await. We are not likely to experience perfection in our world, but we can visualize and then take steps toward creating something better than what currently exists.
Through the series, you will work to:
- Identify what you most long for
- Identify where you may experience hopelessness about what is and isn’t possible
- Explore, articulate, and clearly define your unique vision of a new world
- Identify and explore beliefs, fears, and experiences that may hold you back from acting in accordance with your longing, including speaking up at work, building community, or just starting a new project or partnership
- Identify the unique gifts you bring to building the world you want to see
