The Imagination Playground: Create &amp; Connect, where James Weldon Johnson Park transforms into the coolest art school in Jacksonville! Local professional artists open their creative toolboxes to teach kids painting, sculpture, music, dance, theatre and more in hands-on workshops designed to spark imagination. With food trucks serving up tasty treats, live music filling the air, and games around every corner, it's a full day of making, playing, and connecting as a community.April 19th art partners include MOCA’s Spring Family Day, The Jacksonville Library, Ronan School of Music, Bab’s Lab, and more! Imagination Playground is brought to James Weldon Johnson Park by PNC Foundation. FEATURED ACTIVITIES:11:00 AM and Every half hourCrystal Quest with Show Far ProductionsAn immersive outdoor adventure where participants follow a story, make choices, and shape their own journey. A blend of scavenger hunt and live storytelling, designed for all ages.11:15 AMTheatre Games with Barbara Colaciello of Bab’s LabStep into the spotlight! Kids explore storytelling, expression, and teamwork through fun improv and drama games.12:30 PMHip Hop Dance with Rochelle Underdue of In the MidstLearn fresh moves and groove to the beat in this high-energy intro to hip hop dance — no experience needed.2:30 PMRhythm &amp; Drumming with Darren Ronan of Ronan School of MusicFeel the beat! Kids discover the joy of rhythm by learning basic drumming patterns in an interactive group session.3:30 PMBubbles &amp; Beats Dance Party! ALL DAY ACTIVITIES:Open Play: Free-range fun with games and activities running throughout the whole day.Gardening: Get hands in the soil, plant seeds, and learn how things grow in our kids' garden station.Story Time: Settle in for imaginative tales that spark wonder and conversation in our fairy &amp; butterfly garden.
